1. Introduction
Dr Jian Wang, who is working as Lecturer in School of Mechanics and Civil engineering, she has been engaged in several projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key projects of the Ministry of Education, and industry cooperated projects. Since joining the CUTMB, she has actively participated in bilingual teaching task and international lectures for the frontier academic research, delivered by the invited professors from the University of Leeds in United Kingdom, the University of Warwick and the University of São Paulo in Brazil etc., which has built an effective platform for international academic exchanges in our university. Her teaching team has won the first prize of Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, 2 provincial, ministerial and university-level Higher Education Achievement Awards, and has won the College Student Innovation Training Project and the Outstanding Undergraduate Completion Instructor Award. From 2009 to 2016, she worked as senior civil engineer in AECOM's London office in United Kingdom and participated in consultancy service for several multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, such as Cross rail, HS2, Thame Tideway. Her major responsibility is carrying out the research and analysis for general civil engineering problems by using the finite element and discrete element methods, including stochastic wind vibration response research to super high-rise structures, seismic studies of rock slopes, and geotechnical mechanical performance analysis and research of subway tunnels, analysis, design and research of mechanical performance of deep and shallow foundations, etc.
